Collection: Kristen Flynn

Kristen Flynn is a contemporary artist living on a rural property in Queensland, where she draws rich inspiration from the natural world and her personal experiences of motherhood. Her practice blends traditional printmaking techniques with emerging technologies to create work that explores identity, life cycles, decay, and beauty. Found objects, discarded art books, and everyday rural surroundings are frequently reimagined in her art, with a particular interest in appropriating classical imagery—most notably the work of Sandro Botticelli.

Kristen’s work often traverses themes of transcendence and the abject nature of the female body, highlighting its deep connection to the earth and its inevitable return to it. Her bold, reflective pieces invite audiences to experience a movement between worlds—intellectual, emotional, and physical.
